At the eastern edge of Germany in an ancient region known as Silesia, the German city of Görlitz and its long lost sister city Zgorzelec in Poland are charming and beautiful historic cities. In Görlitz we visit the sites including a replica of the Holy Sepulcher, the Church of St. Peter with its Sun Organ, the upper and lower markets, and the Biblical House With a façade depicting scenes from the bible. In Zgorzelec, we see how the Polish side of this twin city has faired since the Soviets left. |
